Grateful Head

If you’re visiting Broken Bow, Grateful Head Pizza Oven & Tap Room is a must-try. We had no wait, the staff was incredibly friendly, and there was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

The pizza was outstanding, with a unique crust that sets it apart from your typical pizza. You can tell they put their own spin on it, and it really works.

The only downside is the price. We spent around $70 for a small pizza, a large pizza, and an appetizer. That said, it’s a popular tourist destination, so higher prices are to be expected.

The restaurant has a huge parking lot, a fun atmosphere, and even a gift shop (although the merchandise was a bit expensive). Overall, it’s a unique dining experience that lives up to the hype, and we’d definitely eat here again on our next trip to Broken Bow.

Edit to respond: I actually had a really great day that day, I just know when I’m served horrible pizza and when I’m not. Your restaurant lacks anything original. Every ingredient is straight from a can or box. Nothing is homemade.

Sadly, the visit was a letdown from the start. We were seated outside at a table sitting in direct sun. When we politely asked to move somewhere else, we were told flatly that it wasn’t possible.

Then came the real frustration: shortly after, we watched another party come in with the same exact complaint about the sun — and they were promptly moved to a different table. Same request, same situation, completely different treatment.

So why were they accommodated and we weren’t? That kind of inconsistency is hard to overlook. We genuinely wanted to love this place, but instead we left disappointed and wondering why we didn’t get the same basic courtesy as the guests seated right beside us.

But then I got an email from the restaurant saying they had found my bag. Ryan went out of his way to mail the shirts back to me, and I actually got them back!

I’m so grateful for his honesty and kindness. It’s not every day you come across someone who goes the extra mile like that. Thank you, Ryan, for being such a genuine and amazing person!

I loved sitting outside in the outer area. It had a truly outdoorsy feel. And if autumn leaves and pine needles are not falling upon you, is it even fall? Lexie was my server, and she was great. All of the staff were friendly.

It is pricy but comparable to everything in Hochatown .

We visited Grateful Head Pizza during a busy weekend in Broken Bow, and even though traffic getting in was pretty heavy, the experience was well worth it. The restaurant was packed, and we were told there would be about a 50-minute wait. We decided to grab a couple of seats at the bar, where the bartender couldn’t have been friendlier — offering us samples of local beers and making great recommendations while we waited.

To hold us over, we ordered the cheese sticks, which came out hot, gooey, and perfectly seasoned — absolutely delicious. Once our table was ready, we were seated out on the patio, which was roomy with plenty of tables and a laid-back atmosphere. It’s a great space to relax and enjoy the scenery, and we learned they often have live music in the evenings, which sounds like a fun addition.

We ordered the Dire Wolf pizza, and it was fantastic — flavorful, well-balanced, and perfectly cooked. You could tell the ingredients were fresh, and the crust had just the right amount of crisp and chew.

After our meal, we explored a few of the little shops nearby, including the head shop next door where we picked up a couple of shirts as souvenirs.

All in all, Grateful Head Pizza is a must-visit spot in Broken Bow — great food, friendly service, and a fun local vibe that perfectly captures the spirit of the area. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
